Boring, I know, but working a plot on a steep hill with paths that can be very slippery even in summer, I’ve discovered the necessity for a first aid kit on site the hard way. It doesn’t have to be Dr Mopp’s entire bag, but a small, well-labelled tin, on a high shelf away from small hands, is an absolute must.
My kit contains:
- Sticking plasters
- Antiseptic
- Sting/bite cream
- Painkillers
- Tweezers
- Cleaning wipes (you’ll need to clean yourself before cleaning a wound)
- Sweeties to make it all feel better.
Seriously – get yourself a little tin, put some basics in there and keep it in the shed. One day you’ll thank me.
